August 2, 2013 Miracle Update
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've reached $10,230 of our $20,000 goal
Deadline = August 27, 2013
From Rwanda to Newtown: As many of you know I have been here in Newtown since December 18, 2012. Many mirales have have unfolded because I answered the call to my heart to be here. One of those miracles occurred on April 27 - please watch these 2 short videos to find out more about how our Project LIGHT Ambassadors are making healing connections with Newtown young people who lost siblings in the tragedy.
Our documentary has been delayed for a miraculous reason - we have a new ending! Our vision for Project LIGHT is becoming a reality. In this video Nick Ortner gives a synopsis of what we've been doing for the last 7 months.
July 29, 2013 Miracle Update
 Bert Fellows Fundraising Challenge: Bert matched, dollar for dollar, up to $2900 for every donation that came in by last Friday, July 26. Despite gmail and other glitches you generously gave over $6,000 dollars from $10 to $2,000 including $100 from the retired sisters of the Sacred Heart Convent in Hempstead, NY! THANK YOU BERT!
I'm a GRANDMOTHER! Our Project LIGHT family is expanding through the miracle of Hyacinthe and her husband Kareem. Cisco was born on April 6 and I can't wait to hold him. Hyacinthe curvived the genocide at the age of 5 with just her 3 year old sister. It's been a long lonely road of surviving and healing until she became an Ambassador. The Ambassadors an I are her only family. Now she is a sucessful entrepreneur renting bicycles to local business people AND a proud mom. More on miracle Cisco to come!
July 18, 2013 Miracle Update
$20,000 needed by August 27 to return to Rwanda
Please read on to hear about why you haven't heard from me, our next Rwanda adventure and fundraising challenge and our Project LIGHT: Rwanda documentary update.
  • From Rwanda to Sandy Hook, CT: I hope  you will forgive my silence these last 7 months. Extraordinary events have unfolded - both tragic and miraculous. And our vision for Project LIGHT is unfolding. I have remained here in Sandy Hook, CT since December 18 when I responded to Nick Ortner's call to head up a trauma relief effort here after the elementary school shooting that took 28 lives including 20 6 year old children. Many miracle stories to follow in the coming weeks.
  • Bert Fellows Fundraising Challenge: Bert is offering to match, dollar for dollar, up to $2900 for every donation that comes in by July 26. Thank you Bert for once again creating momentum for our next trip to Rwanda at the end of August. Please help us meet his challenge!
  • Rwanda 2013 Program: We have much joyous work to do on this next trip. I continue my monthly Skype mentoring calls with our Ambassadors who are busy with University or expanding their businesses and expanding their leadership roles in their communities.
  • Our Project LIGHT: Rwanda Documentary - Bad News/Good News: The bad news is that our documentary has been delayed (not unusual in the film business!). The good news is that miraculous circumstances have allowed us to film a new ending that will t ouch your heart beyond measure. Help us create another miracle to find funding to complete the film by October. Do we have a $30k investor out there?....
Until next time I send you my gratitude, love, joy and wonder,
